Kokosovo - arasidove catni / Coconut - peanut chutney

CO POTREBUJETE:

3 lyzice nesolenych arasidov / 3tbsp of unsalted peanuts
velka hrst cerstveho struhaneho kokosu / handful of fresh grated coconut
sol / salt
1/2 lyzicky tamarindovej pasty / 1/2tsp of tamarind paste

1 lyzica Ghee / 1tbsp of Ghee
1 mala cervena cibula; nakrajana nadrobno / 1 small red onion, chopped
3-4 struciky cesnaku; nakrajane nadrobno / 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 zelena chilli papricka (vcelku, bez stopky) / 1 green chilli

1 lyzica Ghee / 1tbsp of Ghee
1/2 lyzicky horcicnych semien / 1/2tsp of mustard seeds
1/2 lyzicky rimskej rasce / 1/2tsp of cumin
1/2 lyzicky Urad dal / 1/2tsp of urid dal
niekolko kari listkov / few curry leaves

AKO POSTUPOVAT:

Na zohriatej panvici, nasucho opecieme arasidy do hnedkava. Treba ich stale premiesavat, aby nezhoreli. Nechame ich vychladnut a potom odstranime supky. / Heat the tava. Add peanuts and dry roast them until they turn brown. Stir constantly. Let them cool down and remove brown coating.

Potom v panvici zohrejeme ghee, pridame nakrajany cesnak, cibulu a chilli papriku a poprazime na miernom ohni dohneda. Odstavime a nechame vychladnut. / Heat some ghee in the pan. Add chopped garlic, onion and green chilli. Fry on low heat, until onion turns brown.

Vychladnute arasidy, struhany kokos a cibulovu zmes dame do mixera. Pridame troska soli, tamarindovu pastu a asi 30-50ml vody (vody radsej menej a pridavat pocas mixovania postupne podla toho ake huste chceme catni; nesmie byt prilis riedke). Add salt, tamarind paste and approx. 30-50ml of water. Blend the mixture to get a smooth paste. Place this mixture into the bowl.


Pripravime si Tadka / Prepare Tadka.
Do panvice dame zohriat ghee. Pridame vsetky koreniny na Tadka a na miernom ohni opekame, kym urad dal troska nezhnedne (pozor, aby nezhorel) a ostatne koreniny (vratane kari listockov) neprasknu. / Heat some ghee in the pan. Add all the spices for tadka and fry them on low heat, until uri dal turns lightly brown.

Tadka vylejeme do catni spolu s ghee a zamiesame, aby sa to pekne spojilo. Mozete aspon na 30 minut ulozit do chladnicky pred tym, nez budete podavat. / Pour the tadka over the chutney in the bowl and stir well. Place chutney into the fridge for about 30 minutes and serve.

Podavame napr. s plackami Dosa, plackami Uthappam, Cibulovym (alebo inym) bhaji, Ghavan alebo Cibulovou kulcha / Serve with Dosas, Uthappam, Onion bhaji, Ghavan or Onion kulcha.
